Concrete work in Lafayette, Indiana
Most of what we pour in Lafayette is the everyday concrete around a house: the driveway, the walk to the front door, the steps, the patio out back and the slab in the garage. A lot of it is replacement, breaking out old concrete that has cracked, sunk or flaked and pouring it new on a proper base.

Old streets and newer subdivisions
Lafayette has some of the oldest neighborhoods in Greater Lafayette. Ninth Street Hill, Perrin, Centennial and Highland Park are all historic districts on the National Register, and most of the houses on Ninth Street Hill went up between 1875 and 1890. Work on older streets like those usually means narrow lots, tight access for the truck, mature trees with roots near the slab, and old concrete to break out before anything new goes in.
The newer subdivisions are the opposite: longer drives, bigger patios, HOA rules on widths and finishes, and fill soil that needs a careful look before a pour. Either way, someone walks the site before you get a number. A few of the Lafayette neighborhoods we work in:

Ask about the bond
The City of Lafayette's building permit application requires the general contractor to have a surety bond of at least $5,000 on file with the city before a permit is issued. It's a fair question to ask anyone you get a price from.
